Our operations are presently covering the Lesotho highlands with the planned future expansions to the foothills and the lowlands. Mnotho Waboya currently assist the farmers with shearing of the sheep at the farmers’ facilities. It is always our intention to procure any wool regardless of its quality. In addition, our economic research team ensures that the farmers receive competitive compensation for their wool. Mnotho Waboya procure wool from the farmers throughout the year at market related prices.

Mohair

With the Government of Lesotho intensify improvement of Angora goats in the country, Mnotho Waboya approaches procurements of mohair much in line with the prescripts of Responsible Mohair Standards (RMS). While the landscape of the mohair industry in Lesotho does not afford the entire industry to adopt to RMS, it is also the intention of Mnotho Waboya is to preach and highlight the important of RMS to our client and industry as a whole.

Sheering and dipping services

Mnotho Waboya currently has fully equipment shearing sheds and dipping facilities around Thaba Tseka District. At Mnothos; facility, our skilled local shearers do not only optimize the amount of wool and mohair sheared by ensuring that the quality is maintained, but takes into consideration the welfare and health of the animals handled at its premises. Design of our facility ensures that the operation of shearing and dipping allows for a smooth movement of the animal within the facilities.
